i received my initial license in june 2009 from the cortiva institute in scottsdale, AZ. i returned home to eugene, OR. and became sick with san joaquin valley fever (valley fever) that eventually lead to the collapse of my right lung. i was treated by an infectious disease doctor who got me on an anti-fungal regiment after i had a surgery to remove the growth that had created the lung collapse. while i was healing, i studied for the oregon massage licensing exam and was successfully licensed in 2011.
i have had the fortune to find community among like minded individuals that have continued to support my work as an independent “artist”, and in 2020 i started renting space in SE portland with the intention to be of service to those who were seeking bodywork.
september 2024 is when i returned home to eugene to be with family while my mom entered into radiation treatment for the second time in almost seven years. my mom passed in october of 2024 and i have been making attempts to find some way to remain of service while i navigate this grief. massage therapy has always been more than a job or “work” for me, it’s an avenue for me to express myself and my hope is to be of service to the eugene/springfield community i have come home to.
be well.
